Overview of the PIC

The core instrumentation in the PIC is the FEI Quanta environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM) and the Zeiss 510 Meta confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM). Also available is an Olympus epifluorescence microscope with two cameras and a filter wheel, along with an Olympus dissecting stereo microscope. In addition, the PIC research center has a paraffin embedding and sectioning room, a fume hood, a sample prep room, and freezer/refrigerator space.
