McCulloh Lab Methods

Quantifying the hydraulic conductance and conductivity of stems, leaves and roots is a major part of understanding how plants invest in water transport and how vulnerable that investment is to water stress. We developed an R-based program to help measure conductivities with either an electronic balance (in the lab) or a pipette (in the field). The program is freely available along with instructions for its use. Prior knowledge of R is not necessary.
