Gilroy and Spalding publish in special Tropism issue of AJB
Botany professors Simon Gilroy and Edgar Spalding each have articles featured in January's American Journal of Botany. This special issue of the journal is devoted to the topic of plant tropisms, in particular to "three fundamental stimuli governing plant growth: water, light, and gravity."
Simon Gilroy and postdoc Masatsugu Toyota contributed the article "Gravitropism and mechanical signaling in plants" and edgar Edgar Spalding's article is "Diverting the downhill flow of auxin to steer growth during tropisms". It's wonderful to have two articles from our department in this issue. Congratulations to Simon, Edgar and Masatsugu!
