5 Year Post Tenure Review
- There is a specific 5 Year Post Tenure Review policy that needs to
be handed out to faculty being reviewed. It states:
- Reviews shall be
based on a current curriculum vita,
- Previous APRs filed
since obtaining tenure or since the last review (not to exceed 5 years)
- Teaching evaluations
for the past 5 years
- Student comments
for the past 2 years, and other material that the faculty member or
the committee feel may be relevant to the review.
- The faculty member
is encouraged to compile an activity report covering the entire period
under review to bring out progress toward long term goals.
- The faculty under
review should provide the committee with a brief summary of career plans
for the future.
- Letters from outside
the University would not ordinarily be part of the evaluation, but could
be at the discretion of either the faculty member under review or the
committee.
- The reviewers may
take other steps considered useful in making a fair and informed judgment
including but not limited to consultation with individuals who have
knowledge of the faculty member=s work.
