Plant Geography

Course Home Page for Botany 422 - Spring 2009

Taught by Kenneth J. Sytsma

Biogeography is the study of the distributions of plants through time. The theme of this course is taken from Leon Croizat "earth and life evolve together". The course will examine the distributions of plants from the perspectives of both ecology (biomes, climate, vegetation) and history (floristics, phylogenetics, paleobotany). Links below will get you to the 2007 Spring version - the last time this course was taught - but the topics and order of lectures will be similar.
