Fairly common just above the historic high-water mark of small seepage lake, with a few plants on the droughty, sandy open beach as well. Sandy, peaty, slightly moist soil, in nearly full sun. With stunted Calamagrostis canadensis, along with scattered Spiraea alba, Spiraea tomentosa, Rubus setosus, Hieracium aurantiacum, H. kalmii, Aster ooletangiensis, Fragaria virginiana, Euthamia graminifolia, Erigeron strigosus, and Pinus banksiana, Betula papyrifera, and Acer rubrum saplings and seedlings. |
