Habitat:  Level sand and gravel outwash area. Flowage imponded 10-15yrs ago. Mesic site. 1ha. old stump sprout woods adjacent to river. Tilia americana, Quercus borealis var. maxima, Acer rubrum, dominance grading into Betula papyrifera amd Populus tremuloides. with increasing distance from river and rise in elevation of 2-3m. Tree size 3-6dm2 basal area. Assoc. Sanguinaria canadensis, Maianthemum canadense, Sanicula sp., Anemone quinquefolia, Viola pubescens. Canopy understory, Cornus racemosa, overstory,
