Habitat:  in floodplain forest with Acer negundo, Ulmus americana, Salix nigra, S. interior. Nearby tree (16697) w/ predominantly female flowers was collected in flower April 14, 1979, but did not produce many fruits within reach.
 
Text:  Common. Tree 15m tall, w/ three trunks separating at about 1 m above ground ( 20, 30 and 45 cm. in diameter). Leaves bright green above, whitened below. Fruit turing light tan; cotyledons bright green soft.
