Habitat:  Floodplain forest with Acer saccharinum, Ulmus americana (now mostly dead from Dutch Elm disease), Populus deltoides, Xanthoxylum americanum.
 
Text:  Tree 10m. tall, 30cm diameter, leaning. Many nearby individuals of this species have already lost most or all of their leaves. Twigs of last year bright green, twigs of this years growth purplish, the more vigorous ones glaucous. Female
