Habitat:  Disturbed lowland along lagoon and river. With Salix spp., Ulmus americana, Acer negundo, A. saccharinum, Populus deltoides, Fraxinus pennsylanica..
 
Text:  Male, young tree 4m. tall. Common. Anthers red before dehiscing, then black. Last years twigs green or with purple tinge, some with some glaucousness left.
