Double Honors to the Maeda Lab

When Hiroshi Maeda went to this year’s Phytochemical Society of North America (PSNA) meeting at UC Davis, he knew he would be giving a talk as an Arthur Neish Young Investigator Award recipient. What he didn’t know was that he would also receive the Elsevier-Phytochemistry Young Investigator Award! This prestigious biennial award goes to an individual who has exhibited exceptional creativity in and dedication to the field of phytochemistry, plant biochemistry, or plant molecular biology.

Hiroshi will receive $10,000 for proposed research and up to $2,000 for travel and lodging to present a lecture at the 2017 PSNA meeting. He credits the team effort of his lab for his success, and two of his lab members, Minmin Wang and Craig Schenk, were there at the meeting to help accept the ceremonial check.
